Triumph Herald 13/60
1967-1971
The Triumph Herald 13/60 was introduced with a more modern look while maintaining the original appearance of the successful Herald. Additionally, it was powered by a more powerful 1296 cc engine producing 61 bhp. The convertible was the last of the Herald versions to cease production along with the estate in 1971.

Triumph 1300
1965-1970
Similar in design to the larger 2000, the resemblance offered a distinctive appearance that established Triumph with good-looking saloons that were also considered a cut above the mass market.
In 1968 the 1300 Twin Carburetter (TC) was introduced with a more powerful 1300 engine adding a sporting version. The 1300 TC sold a total of 35,342 units.

Triumph Stag
1970-1977
The Stag was offered with one engine, a three-litre V8 that promised much while in reality dismally failed the reliability test. Because people loved the Stag's styling engine transplants were numerous. Most often used were either the Rover 3.5 V8 or Ford Essex 3.0 V6. Both of these established power plants proved durable giving the Stag a new lease of life.

1970-1977
In the seventies, I was fortunate enough to drive both a Rover V8 and Essex V6-engined Stag. The performance compared to the standard engine varied very little, although the V6 never felt quite as agile as either V8. However, all engines provided fairly brisk performance for the time.

1970-1977
Owning a Triumph in the sixties and seventies was a step up the ladder. Triumph cars came with would veneer dashboards, leather seating and plenty of dials. They were also usually peppy performers and worked hard to prove themselves better or as good as any rival.
